Building for African and global markets from day one

Payment platforms tend to start global and bolt on local, or start local and struggle to expand. Both paths leave a seam that merchants feel. We started from the assumption that a single business often needs a Mobile Money customer in Accra and a card customer in Berlin on the same day.
Local is not a feature flag
Treating African rails as an afterthought shows up in small ways: awkward phone-number handling, missing carriers, settlement that assumes a card-shaped world. We built the core lifecycle around these rails, not adapted to them later.
The result is a platform where reaching a new market is the default, not a special case, and where local depth and global breadth are the same system rather than competing ones.
